NTSU in the NCAAs for the 3rd time in 5 years would be such a beat down. Good for UALR.

I saw a DMN write-up that said in the four years before Jones got there, they won a total of 20 games. That's a rough stretch for basketball.

UNT possibly going 3 out of 5 years doesn't really effect us. I know UNT faithful hate me for this, but that league is simply atrocious. Kudos for their accomplishments, but had they gone this year, it wouldn't have made them good. It just meant they survived the SBC tourney. I appreciate Jones and what he's done, and think UNT has a bunch of good fans. I'm not particularly jealous of their success though. Major conferences look at CUSA and say, the best CUSA squad is mid-tier in our league, at best. I look at the Sun Belt about the same way. Winning that league this year, makes you a bottom 3rd CUSA team, or that's my take, anyway.

UALR folded tonight. Had a 7-11 point lead most of the night and just started to act like they did not know how to play in the last 3 or 4 minutes of regulation. Lost in overtime after losing their 2 best players to fouls in the last minute of regulation.
