Important Recruiting Week end...

Rumors say this week end several 2012 potential California recruits are supposed to take an unofficial visit to SMU. I think a WR recruit who had commented to USC will be here. Who else ?

Max Turek, big OL from Cali who has offers from the likes of Washington and UCLA as well as us will be there. I think one more OL as well

Colin Lagasse is coming this weekend as well. BIG recruiting weekend here, thats 4 by my count.

Not a BIG weekend. Only one of these kids is from Texas, he is the one we want. THe fact he has only offers from us and RIce is immaterial.

Interesting teaser on Rivals - I am not a member - but it sounds like it was a good visit - re: Jordan Payton - esp considerign he said he was firm with USC a week ago...

"This past weekend current 2012 USC wide receiver commitment Jordan Payton was on the SMU campus. Come inside now as we talk to Payton to get his thoughts on the visit and why he says that he "loves" the school. Did he ever think about committing? How does it compare to USC? Plus, does he have plans to visit the Hilltop again soon?!"

This video from before the trip seems to indicate he is really set on USC and taking trips to schools like ND and Florida. If we changed that it would be impressive.

Also says something to the other recruits that are at the weekend that there is a guy who is a commit to USC, who is also looking at Notre Dame, Florida, and SMU...
