I think he's pretty happy here, pretty entrenched. But you never know.

Re: New Special Teams Coach?i don't see Hartford in a new semi-pro league as a step up from SMU at all...
Re: New Special Teams Coach?Mr Gansz making an afternoon appearance ? Heard anything on this?
Re: New Special Teams Coach?Verrry in-ter-es-ting... however, a 7:00 a.m. appearance on the practice field would be preferred.
Re: New Special Teams Coach?Maybe leading up to that Berg, word is he's coming in

Re: New Special Teams Coach?Ganz would be fine, but he is not what we need....
Young dynamic, ex NFL, pref African American....
Re: New Special Teams Coach?Rocket Ismail... Dallas ties, would be a great recruiter + not doing anything at the moment
Re: New Special Teams Coach?
I'd go for an outstanding special teams coach - June Jones is a good decider of what "we" need...
Re: New Special Teams Coach?Well he also said "we need" black jerseys for the bowl game, more mascots, and totally unnecessary distractions involving interviewing with Maryland right before said bowl game. I'll arrive at my own opinion. I would welcome someone Texas-centric, young, ex-player that adds to the diversity of the staff. I think Mr. Gansz Jr would be a good option as well.
New Special Teams Coach? We know nothing about ganz jr other then his dad was a legend...
So was Bobby knight, you want pat anywhere near your program? If we had a guy like klemm working Texas in the same way he works cali we could speed this process up...
Re: New Special Teams Coach?
If you know nothing of Mr Gansz then why do you assume . Last edited by mrflinnbob on Wed Apr 06, 2011 6:23 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: New Special Teams Coach? Can we please exit fantasy land and enter reality? It's a perfectly legitimate question to ask, if Mr. Gansz Jr. is the right hire to address some of the team's needs moving forward, specifically in recruiting, and more-so recruiting in Texas. Go back and look at the Scout thread I posted from the Bruins sight. Totally honest, it's a very, very small sample size but they seemed awfully happy at the prospects of him leaving and coming to Texas.
A Klemm-like hire, as long as it's an effective one, would really pump some more momentum in to this resurgence.
Re: New Special Teams Coach?I'm going to support until I see otherwise.
New Special Teams Coach? If we can't recruit our backyard this is going to take longer than we would like...grab a guy like metcalf, we can make insane inroads...
If I hit the Powerball I will go and get neon deion....
Re: New Special Teams Coach? If FG jr. is our guy at least give him a chance. IIRC he has had some connections to Texas so he is no stranger. He can also recruit No. Cal. We need top rated players not just those from TX.
GO PONIES!!!
