Moody Renovation - $80 millionModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: Moody Renovation - $80 millionI think the Big East is hoping Villanova gets the football side of its situation resolved. As I recall, the Wildcats were pretty good in I-AA for some time. Is their program less than 20 years old but has made very good strides?
If I'm remembering that correctly, that mirrors UConn to an extent. Houston is a big market that's also filled with apathy. Houston can boast about what it has but it doesn't have anything close to the track record that TCU had when the Horned Frogs accepted their invitation. I just don't see how attractive they would be. Football is marginal. They would get smoked in hoops just like TCU will and like USF and DePaul are. _______________________________________________________________________________________ For the record, I don't think the SMU renovations are not being done for anything related to the Big East. They are being done for a couple of reasons: 1. They need to be done. 2. The school is doing this for the next tidal wave of conference realignment. Haven't we heard that when the FOX contract runs out on the Big 12 in something like 2016, there could be another shift? Very bold move for Orsini to get himself on the NCAA basketball committee. He's in the room with other power players getting a feel to where everything is trending and wants to see how SMU can secure a chair at the table -- a total theory but worth throwing out there.
Moody Renovation - $80 millionHow messed up is this conference going to be if they go to 12 in football. That means something over 20 bball teams...I just feel like something will have to give and this will be over soon after it begins...
Re: Moody Renovation - $80 million
If they touch those urinals, Im not renewing. Don't mess with tradition.
Moody Renovation - $80 millionWorst urinals in CUSA = UAB hands down.
Re: Moody Renovation - $80 million
Disagree. The whole campus functions perfectly fine as a urinal.
Moody Renovation - $80 millionThey have a nice logo however.

Re: Moody Renovation - $80 million
With you on the urinals. Those urinals are works of art. Has anyone ever seen anything like them? They should get historical landmark status. An atheist is a guy who watches a Notre Dame-SMU football game and
doesn't care who wins. -- Dwight D. Eisenhower
Re: Moody Renovation - $80 millionI had no idea that others felt the same. If they got rid of the urinals I would buy at least one of them....
I'm serious, those things are fantastic and add to the remarkable, and oft under commented upon nature of the SMU toilet. Take Meadows for example where the stalls have the very rare pygmy dividers. Any grown man, seated amidst his daily movement finds his head, and maybe even shoulders, above the dividers and able to survey the bathroom like a prairie dog. I had to take a Daily Campus every time because making eye-contact mid-push is just plan awkward. Mustangs Abu!
Re: Moody Renovation - $80 millionas is reading your post, abu
lol
Moody Renovation - $80 millionSomeone really needs to get a picture of a Moody urinal to post on urinal.net while we still can.
On a related note, urinal.net is awesome-even has Taj Mahal urinals and female urinals at UT. "I think Couchem is right."

Re: Moody Renovation - $80 millionUrinals smell like urine in any SMU bathroom that does not have excellent airconditioning. Entire men's locker room at the natatorium is permeated with the srong smell of Pi$$.
