Turf is damp - lot of receivers slipping in passing drills.

Cole Loftin looks pretty smooth. No knee brace.

4 on 1 special teams drills showing speed of Der'Rikk Thompson, who started to right, reversed fields, beat all four coverage guys (DBs and LBs) to left sideline and outran everyone up sideline.

Jeff Reinebold coaching special teams. Seems to have no problem with effort, but demanding players go longer to finish plays rather than giving up too early.

Nice catch: serving as RB on scout offense, Uchenna Nwabuike came across middle, twisted to snag pass behind him.

Keenan Holman has made several nice catches, including a few over shoulder/head on deep routes. Looks nothing like the guy who arrived in the fall.

Love it! Just my opinion -- but I maintain that he is better than Cole Beaseley. Nothing against Beaseley because he is good chain mover. I just think Loftin is a tougher player. It's a shame the injuries really robbed him.

Better than the guy who had 87 catches, 1,060 yards and 6 touchdown catches last year?

Nothing against Loftin, but what has he done to suggest he is better? Beasley is the #1 guy going into the season.

I would agree. Beasley has skins on the wall.

It would really be important for the people who are arguing for Beasley to ACTUALLY read and comprehend what I wrote.

I'll try this again. In my opinion, Loftin is the better player. Now, he probably won't be and is probably way down on the depth chart because how everything is unfolding.

HAD HIS HEALTH NOT BEEN THE ISSUE, he would have been the better possession receiver than Beasley is. I have no ill will against Beasley. He's done fine. He drops some passes when he shouldn't but who doesn't?

There's no way to evaluate them now, but I'm sure people will now pick this apart for whatever reason.

Good grief.

Please explain why your opinion that loftin is better trumps my opinion that beasley is better.

I don't disagree that we'll never really know given the injuries, but you always seem to want to discount other people's opinions pretty quickly sometimes.

I will give you the fact that that's half the fun on here, though. It would suck if we all agreed with each other.

I did read your original post. My question stands: what has Loftin done (and again, I have nothing against him — hope he comes up huge) to suggest he is better than Beasley?

Don't tell me how great he was at Aledo. Almost everyone on the team, including Loftin and Beasley, were stars in high school. So what have you seen that makes you consider him the better player?

I'm not arguing it. Maybe he is the better player. I'm just wondering what you have seen that has helped you form that opinion.
