I saw where the Frog RB was in a car wreck. Rivalry aside, I hope he's OK. We all held our collective breath when Foy Munlin got in a wreck a couple of weeks ago. Someone tell Merrill to feel free to take Saturday off, if he likes ( ), but I do hope he's OK.
See you all Saturday!

Maybe we would not mind him playing.

Against NW he rushed 3 time for -2 yards.

Though he caught one pass for 9 yards and scored on a 2 pt. conversion.

Of course last season he rushed for over 1100 yards and a 5.5yard average.

He wasn't that healthy against NW. I heard Patterson say he almost didn't play Merrill in that game. When he's in one piece, he's pretty tough.

Is Hobbs their clear-cut #1 guy now, or just when he's the only healthy one? I know both of them are talented, of course.

Hobbs is #1, but Merrill will get his share of the carries too. Merrill strained his hamstring in fall practice, which is why he was really limited in the first game.

He wasn't hurt in the wreck at all though, so as long as the hamstring is fine, he should play. I wouldn't be surprised for Hobbs to get the majority of the carries still though.

Hobbs had 142 yards on 23 carries for 2TDs and 2 receptions for 14 yards.
