Yes definately WHITE HELMETS. and on the academic note I didnt even apply to TCU because the life sciences program is terrible, they have a med school acceptance rate somewhere around 35% where as SMU is at almost 85%. Also there life science faculty is sub-par as all their research is on dated projects that are not of national or global interest.
I love how yall make up stats with no evidence. When I was at TCU in the 90's the pre-med program had the highest med-school acceptance success rate in the state, behind Austin College. I have no idea where it is currently and would love to see, I bet you are wrong too.
It seems silly to cry that your opponent has no evidence to support his claims when you offer no evidence to support yours.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
I think I reported that our SAT average according to various sources was about 1220. That's 55 points higher than the Froggies. But that's not important to this guy. I reported our admission percentage was about 64% which is TCU admission percentage. Again so much for selectivity by the Froggies. Add in our grad schools and undergraduate programs taught mostly by professors, not grad assistants and we beat TCU academically like a drum. Let's talk social life: SMU great social atmosphere. Great looking rich women. TCU: Lots of cows and bull riding for fun. We could get into alumni, but that's not even close.
Re:
Is the purpose of this board not to discuss football? As somebody who attends all football and basketball games, when our team is getting its [deleted] handed to it on the field, I don't find much comfort in thinking about how much higher the average SAT score is of our freshment vs theirs. Maybe this is what Kenneth Pye wanted back in 1987 when he put policies in place that turned our football program into one of the worst in the country. Most SMU fans would probably give up a few freshman SAT points to have a football program that we can be proud of for what it accomplishes on the field instead of just in the classroom.

very true SMULLET....................lets talk football How many SMU fans do you think will be making the trip to FW?
Both schools are tier 2, according to US News & World Report.
www.usnews.com (which is worth as much as a warm cup of drool). This poll is lagging by 4 years since it is based on just graduating class's acceptance rate, HS rank, and test score. The largest criteria is also grad school reputation polled from other school's profs. As for this years admissions. TCU is the 2nd most difficult school in the state to get into. www.tcu.edu In fact, TCU surpassed UT and A&M in selectivness and way past SMU. The 1200 avg SAT score and avg HS class rank of #20 also comes from press release. I would be shocked if SMU could match any of this. In fairness, SMU does have better grad school, soccer team, and band. But we all know undergrad reputation and football are all anyone really cares about.
Re:
Yeah that reminds me, how's the grass growing these days?
I expect the band to have a good prank again this year. I also expect Bennett to start talking smack at some point before or after the game. I'm not sure if he is a redneck or a cunning salesperson. I personally think he is a redneck and really likes talking trash and fighting coaches, but it is really genius because it gives the fans something to get excited about, gives his players some venom, and gives the media a lot to cover.
According to U.S.News - (funny how you say it is not worth a cup of spit because it does not tell you what you want to hear) SMU undergrad is 71 in rank - TCU is at (hah) 98. The criteria for ranking takes into effect reputation, graduation rate, and other metrics which do not occur instantly like incoming freshman stats -
There is NO independent organization that ranks TCU's undergrad programs above SMU's. Your football team is better (for now but stay tuned) but you lose all credibility when you go down this road. the Texas undergrad ranking: Rice - 17th nationally UT - 46 A&M - 62 SMU - 71 Baylor - 84 then waaaaaaay down the list - TCU Your apps are up because lots of bottom half students can't get into UT and A&M anymore - don't read anything else into it. Sorry to pop your bubble froggie road kill - in a few years maybe you guys can pull up to Baylor's level - now lets play a football game.
