TCU received a verbal commitment from Arlington Martin DE Jevonte Fields. Really good player.
SMU was never in this hunt.
How did that impersonation work out?

Too slow-already posted in SWC Offer thread

You bet because nobody breaks TCU recruiting news faster on PonyFans than you do. Keep up the good work.

Re: Beating Stallion to it
Its completely relevant to two ridiculous arguments. That a small private school with the same profile as SMU can't consistently compete in recruiting with BCS programs for over a decade and that Texas is "over-recruited". Last time I looked TCU is 12-0, Rose Bowl Champion, 25-1, two straight BCS Bowls recruiting almost exclusively in Texas. As long as SMU tucks tail and ignores Texas recruiting expect me to profile every single TCU recruiting success in Texas. Hey I can deal with losing recruiting battles-what I can't deal with is not working your [deleted] off in Texas trying to change that

Re: Beating Stallion to it
Go read my other thread and you'll get my perspective.
Like you, I have maintained the Texas base, but I think the program's biggest problem is mentioned in the other post.
Get the damn signature win, then more doors open for you. It wasn't a coincidence that when TCU started beating Tech and Baylor and shocked OU that things really took off for them.
I just had to dig you because I couldn't resist.

relax mitch. he's forgotten more than you'll ever know about recruiting. and thinks we should be able to out recruit the bcs without a recent tradiltion of winning.
