Practice the offense and defense - not the quick kick!!!Clearly the coaches were very dissapointed with the quick kick at the Tech game so they must have spent the majority of practice last week perfecting that play instead of getting ready for TCU.
As ugly as it is when Phillips or Eckert try their Ryan Mentzel impersonations, it was effective. Without that moronic "illegal bat" call, it put the ball inside the 5-yard line with no froggies deep to return. In games where field position matters, that's not a bad play.
I hate to admit it, but you're right - they have the quick kick down. Now let's see the other aspects of the game tightened up a bit. Or a lot.
