Actually, if you go back and look at the numbers, SMU's offense in the last couple years of the Bennett regime was really firing. Once he got Justin Willis in the fold and handed the reins over, the offense put up a lot of points and yards. Our defense was utterly atrocious. I've always thought Rusty didn't get enough credit for the O we rolled out in 05-07. The year we went 6-6 I believe we came within about 100 yards of the all-time SMU mark for offensive yards gained.

Not saying I want those years back, but it's food for thought.
