Yeah, we get how you feel. How many times are you gonna post the exact same thing in a different thread?

I'm all good for a panic attack. I am primed and ready!

Um... Uh....Um... How crazy panicked should I get, one too many cups of coffee jittery or full blown mass hysteria? Is there any particular theme to this panic attack?

Seems to me the "Sky Is Falling" crowd always whines at this time of year.
Coach Jones's track record is such that we all owe him the benefit of the doubt. To panic SEVEN MONTHS before signing day is foolish.

Check the premium or football board for more good news, and the reason i started panicking again...

I am not a doom and gloomer by the way, I was a huge JJ supporter, just getting very concerned...and rightfully so...

Not just a doom and gloomer. An enormously overreactive and monstrously defensive one.

We're, what?

5 years removed from a winless season?

15 years from the worst rejection possibly in college football history?

25 years from the worst punishment in college football history?

30 years from the being the victim of the biggest bowl comback in college football history?

(anybody wanna add on here?)

WHAT THE F*#! IS THERE TO PANIC AT, DUMMY?

You people make me crazy sometimes.....

Originally, I was in the camp of concerns about this staff recruiting Texas. I said it needs to be a base. I still believe that. I also said that the May evaluation period would be the time that I would judge where this is going.

Now, since SMU has received several more commitments -- about 4 from this state -- it would appear the staff has done a better job. Plus, they uncovered some kids who weren't uncovered. Is that a bad thing? According to the critics, these kids don't measure up because the In Crowd didn't know about them.

It's called recruiting where you turn over every freaking rock to see what's there.

But because of some cornballs like Nick, Stallion, Mex, 78 -- who believe they know everything (and if you don't believe them just ask them) -- they turned this exercise into a daily BEATDOWN that I just got tired of the constant, cyclical complaints.

And I read on Rivals about the "meeting" that was held to discuss re-focusing on the recruiting efforts. Wouldn't you know the critics ate that up big time with the "I told you so" mentality. It was silly.

For me, the bottom line for SMU to do a better job in this state is to provide a signature win. Until that happens, the success in Texas will be OK but not as good.
