Re:
I agree 100%! It was embarrasing seeing a player get ejected from the game for throwing punches. Bennett needs to deal with this severely to let the rest of the team know that behavior like this will not be tolerated. Didn't an article a while back in the DMN mention that he had gone after a professor in a violent way. Maybe there is a more serious problem with him....
No, frog, there was no article saying he went after a professor physically. He stood up for his teammates when a professor was mocking the team. And kudos to Allan for doing so.
And you're crazy to say he should sit out. He didn't throw a punch. He got locked up with a TCU player in a manner that happens a million times every game. The difference was that Adami's hand slid up under the guy's facemask, which could be perceived as an intent to injure. Having met Adami a few times, I seriously doubt that was his intent. What happened Saturday was nothing that doesn't happen in every other professional, college and high school game every week. Maybe he should have gotten a flag, even a 15-yard PF flag, but to toss him from the game was wrong. Making him sit out the entire OSU game would border on criminal. Go PONIES!
Alright Ponysnot...always ready to make things worse than they are. He did not go after a professor in a violent way, he merely told him to back off of making fun of the team in class. As to throwing punches, the report I saw was that he got a hand under a players facemask. He plays with passion and sometimes sh*t happens. Now buzz off.
Re:
Oh give me a break. Football's a rough game. Adami's a tough player who plays a very physical position, and he's as tough as anyone who's ever suited up for the Ponies. His character is beyond reproach. Introduce yourself to him sometime. If there's one person on the planet who doesn't have such issues, it's him. He has a brutal, physical job, and he does it at a level that exceeds his physical gifts. You might want a team full of Cub Scouts, and if so, Allan's not your man. If you want a player with unlimited heart and desire and toughness, you can't go wrong with #14. Go PONIES!
Adami is a hard nose player who gives 100%. That said, you can't make stupid selfish mistakes that hurt your team. It is the second time he has thrown a punch in a game and got caught by an official.
Wish him the best and hope he has a great game next time out.

I think Adami should sit out the next game. His actions at TCU were totally idiotic. He's supposed to be a team leader. How can he do that from the locker room? I think he should stay in Dallas this weekend. Ponysnob wrote I agree 100%! It was embarrasing seeing a player get ejected from the game for throwing punches. Why don't you two go and tell him what you think instead of shooting your mouth off on this board. Hmm, thought so.
He wouldn't do that. He's a tough, courageous player on the field and a very decent young man off the field. 2mustangsons is right in the sense that boards like this can be a convenient veil behind which some folks can hide and take anonymous shots. And frankly, this thread is getting seriously overblown. Adami got his hand inside a guy's grill and got caught. He didn't commit a crime, and if you know anything about him or about his play, you know he's the last player on earth who can be called dirty. He was not being selfish at all - he was doing everything possible to get in and block a kick. That's the kind of player we NEED. He wasn't cheap-shotting anyone, so he doesn't deserved to be bashed here.
Re:Academic question JT...neither one of them have the gonads to do it anyway.
Re:
Great suggestion, 2Mustangs...
Adami Unplugged Entry #3I think SMULLET and PONYSNOB are the ones who should stay home this weekend. At least until they learn the facts. Adami is one of SMU's best athletes. Do you think Bennett's behavior against TT was that of a great leader? Even the best can make mistakes... I look forward to Adami playing in each game, I have met him on numerous occasions and wish that more of the players had the passion that he does. He has stuck with SMU through some rough seasons, lets stick with him!
