Really, we want to seriously consider changing coaches now that he's delivering *exactly* what we had hoped in our heart of hearts he would deliver? If I took you back to the time of the Purple Hippo, the time we were hoping to get a good, not great, coach in here to coach this sorry team -- and then I told you we'd get June Freaking Jones and that he'd have us out of the bottom ten and right smack dab into two bowl games in his first three years, you'd wet yourselves. Then you'd hit yourself in the head repeatedly with a hammer if I told you there were people complaining about that result. I mean, humans are predictably short sighted and unthankful, but this takes it to a new level. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I didn't check, but I believe you were the first to bring up a new coach. The rest of us were simply wondering if we are really getting what we should for the amount we pay June, and if we are getting what June said we would when he was hired.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Whoa, whoa, tap the brakes. Seriously, show me ONE person at ONE instance that even SUGGESTED coaching changes. There have been some people who have concerns with whether or not the right steps are being taken in order to build SMU in to a perennial contender and strong, winning football program. People who have those concerns would like to see steps taken to address them. I don't see a bunch of folks, heck, I don't see any who are talking replacement, firing, anything of the sort, yeesh, talk about unnecessary escalation.

June isn't the messiah, and I think we are all better off when we can freely discuss areas with which we are concerned.[/quote]

I PERSONALLY saw him turn water into wine at the bar.

While he is on his way to Ford, we will have to make sure he drops by the tailgate for a quick dominus cabiscum.

Not sure if he can turn water into wine but he has often turned ponyfan discussions into whine.

That second quote is Abezontar, not Nick.

The place where Nick says above whether JJ is the right guy going forward is what got me going. That is a clear suggestion that we might oughta look at a new coach. Which would be remarkably stupid. Now, yes, he did come back and say he wasn't sure he suggested a new coach, but even then went on to give some candidates.

Seems clear to me. But, hey, maybe I am overreacting. I have these vices called gratitude and loyalty that seem to always weigh me down.
