Oregon paid $25,000 for outdated information on mostly non-prospects? I feel a lot better about my $9.00 per month subscription to Rivals and Scout because this was crap. There is a link to the actual booklet in the article

read this story too. I really dont see how the NCAA can continue to turn a blind eye to this.

If its not a real service that is available to everyone like Rivals and Scout it really gets into a very very grey area. I hope they draw a clear line.

I believe the 25K payment was really to secure the commitments of a few players. The recruiting book was probably an attempted coverup for the real reason behind the payment.

another important point-much was made about this being a National Package which was the reason for the high cost-but most all the prospects were Texans. Oregon said they paid for the 2011 Package but was given the 2010 Package. That's important because they paid after Oregon got ket Texas signatures.

Not surprising. How do you pay a runner without calling him an agent? You buy a "study". What he does with the cash, who knows?
