HIGHLY Recommended New Tradition for the Hilltop!!!!Did my grad work at ASU. As much as I love SMU, if I had to do it all over again, 4-6 years in Tempe as an undergrad would be my top choice. Thanks for the reminder.

I'll second that. Just "wow"! Derail the Frogs!
Re: HIGHLY Recommended New Tradition for the Hilltop!!!!awesome, the girls there are probably a tad more on the party side of things
Re: HIGHLY Recommended New Tradition for the Hilltop!!!!That's the kind of activities you get at the ultimate back up school. I knew about 20 or 30 kids from HS in CA that had questionable academics that went to ASU.
But I will say they are a top 5 school in attractive females. Worked on a condo development a few years back in Tempe, so I got to spend a fair amount of time in the the city observing and interacting with members of the student body. The deal was in Downtown Tempe and we had some fun nights out in their little party/bar district, which is like its own little college town in Phoenix. Those pics didn't do the girls there justice, overall they are a lot hotter, shockingly so. #NewLobCity

Re: HIGHLY Recommended New Tradition for the Hilltop!!!!We had streaking back in 1972-1974. I remember the Boulevard had 2,000 people waiting to see someone streak. My roommate decided to accomodate them and got into a friend's Volkswagen, jumped out of the car with only his track shoes on, and started running. We got to Highland Park Methodist where he jumped back in the car, which was promptly stopped by the Highland Park police. They took him to jail but released him several hours later without charging him. While he was there one of the policemen came in exhausted after trying to chase him down. He said he had never seen anyone as fast. I can see why. He was on the California state 880 track team that had set a state record his senior year in highschool. Overall, the experience was very amusing to him especially since he saw several girls that he knew cheering him on as he ran.
Re: HIGHLY Recommended New Tradition for the Hilltop!!!!I think you may be referring to spring 1973 when we had at least 2000 on the Vard. The night I remember we had the Campussy police in the men's quad where the crowd had amassed and which also spilled out onto Bishop. The streakers bolted out of McElhenny Hall, ran through the quad, down the stairs and across bishop and into and through the God quad to waiting cars. I forget the Campussy Sgt.'s name that got bowled over by the crowd, but I ended up with the badge off of his hat. The streaker that I knew wasn't a runner but a member of the diving team. The HP police had showed up for a streak a few nights before, and the University asked them to remain off campus. This night the Mustang Band was there and played for the crowd. If I recall at least one female streaked, a member of the Theta's.
Re: HIGHLY Recommended New Tradition for the Hilltop!!!!Yes most of the streakers were on the swim team but my friend was on the track team and I was in the car when he did it.
