Couldn't get a laugh out of the questioner during the PC. Right before talking about Adami, when discussing defensice lineups, it sounded something like this:

Coach Bennett: "If anything, we'll use 5 d-linemen"
Coach Bennett: "Think they'll let us use twelve? [chuckle, chuckle]"
Deadpanning press guy:"No, I don't." [silence]

Lighten up! Give a guy a break!

Can't really blame him. This losing streak is no laughing matter.

I give Coach Bennett credit for trying to use levity amidst our losing woes. He is very personable if not effective in coaching.

A little laughter is extremely healthy, especially when times are tough. At least he's not moping around and spewing a bunch of Lou Holtz-esque "woe is me" rhetoric. I'm glad he's been able to maintain his upbeat attitude. His enthusiasm remains contagious to those around him. It will help him get through this stretch and into future successes.

Maybe he should have run up to the inteviewer while waving his arms, and then pushed his cameraman. Might have gotten some national attention!!! Or even a comment by DullHansen on his ticketshow about how everyone is picking on smu
