Most of us are tired of a lot of things. So what. Blow up what? Fire whom? Tubbs, Bennett, Copeland, Hyndemann, Cossaboom, Loar? Fire Gerald Turner, the Board of Trustees, the faculty senate? And how much have you given to the Heritage Hall project? How many season tickets did you buy this year? How many times have you gone to home games? Have you offered to deliver fliers outside of a three mile radius? How much have you given to the University? I guess if you have a spare $40-50 Million to dangle under the nose of Turner and the Trustees, they'd probably give you the blasting caps.

Just about all of the above, actually. Have been to EVERY home football game since 1999. Have not missed one and have never even left early!

No problem with some the coaches who produce ... heck, no problem with Phil and Jimmy, either.

Problem is with the plan, the leadership, the commitment, the reactive atmosphere. The "winning will cure everything" mindset ... Going on 20 years now ... thanks Ken Pye ... thanks Doug Single ... and on and on and on since then ... ask Dement, Cavan, etc. about that mindset and how it equals failure.

With great soccer, competitive women's baskets and volleyball, those teams should have a community impact, too. They don't.

Division I-A college athletics is an ALL-TIME thing, not a some-of-the-time thing. At SMU, it takes a SPECIAL commitment because of the actual human resources involved.

No need to fire Turner. He raised $500M+, so he's insulated. No chance at running him out and no need to. But, Turner should take his hands completely off athletics and find him a young, midnight oil burning AD - who can make it work independent of his psuedo-sincere overtones of support. RGT, you're not fooling anyone any more.

tired of watching TCU beat the daylights out of us in the games that matter (fb and bb) ...

Not to split hairs here, but I'm pretty sure we beat TCU the last time we played them in basketball.

I'm tired of taxes. I’m tired of the government regulating toilets where they are nothing more than indoor open septic tanks. I am tired of my kids always wanting money. I am tired of having to take kids to a bazillion events and missing my beloved Mustangs (win or lose). I am tired of hot summers and mild winters. I am tired of partisan politics and pitiful forgers. I am tired of quite a few things but I can't do a whole lot about them. And I can't do a thing about the mess Pye left and I can't correct the crap we placed on Gregg, Rossley and Caven. But I can support the program; offer my efforts and talents and money. I can brag to my friends about a degree form a respected and real university. And I can encourage kids to at least consider SMU. There are things I can do and things I can’t affect. I choice to take action on those things I can affect.
