Does the bookstore have anything new for 2011? If so is it even in the stores yet?

No, they don't have anything new yet, I tried to get them to sell white jerseys, but

it doesn't look like it will happen. :?

I ran into a family decked out in SMU gear at the rockies/nationals game on saturday in denver. Great to see people so proud of our school. Only the son went to SMU, but the parents/siblings hopped on the bandwagon and wore the gear to a baseball game as well.

Grab a SMU cap and wear it when your out and about. People will ask about it and we can promote our school for free, since the marketing dept blows.

By the way, I see TCU people all over the place with gear on. Unfortunate, but it helps their brand.

Don't worry, I make sure I tell them I went to SMU. and that they better watch their backs.

Lids at NorthPark has a nice selection of SMU caps, both the funky kind for the kids and the more conventional type for us longtimers.

A flat-bill cap is only "funky" (my term) if the bill remains flat. Many of the flat-billed New Era hats have pretty conservative designs. It's the way they're worn (flat bill, stickers left on, cocked to one side) that make them funky.

Also funky: Anything that looks like it's been through a garbage disposal, is all black/white/gray, has the logo bleed onto the bill, or could be classified as a "trucker" hat.
