To get back to this... I've told the folks at SMU that if they ever want ANYTHING from me video-wise just to ask. The response I have heard second-hand as to why I haven't been brought in, is that I am out of their price range, which is ridiculous, but flattering. (When it comes to SMU, I'll work for free... sure, I'll hire pros around me, who won't be cheap cheap, but I can still talk them into sweetheart rates.... and I'd do most of the post - editing - myself.)

I could make grandma's weep and big state school fans jealous for 15K. Probably could even do it for 10. Music would be an issue, probably want to add another 10K to commission some original music.

I mean even for 5K in total I could bang out something that looked like it cost 50K.

Yeah, I can see it now... you start with overly dramatic "Rudy"/war movie music with the old stuff... and then crank it up to rap song. Like the opening of The U, but not as cheesy... and not as offensive.... just big plays, what not.

While rap isn't my favorite genre (I don't have one... in fact I am just as likely to be jamming to NWA as I am to pumpin' Beethoven as you see me pull up to campus) and I know all the blue hairs on here might flip out over something like a rap song (I remember all the "Nuck if you Buck" complaints - which was silly, you look down and you see our team getting jacked up to play, well as a fan that *should* get you jacked up about the game)... this is, like everything else, all about recruiting.

Give the kids what they want. It's all about winning.... oh and here's the opening of The U:
