Is all the sec talk a distraction for aggies

Postby NomAnor » Thu Aug 11, 2011 9:30 pm

Im thinking the most immediate and import thing for SMU concerning all this press for A@M is it has to be a HUGE distraction for them just weeks away from kick off im getting giddy just thinking about it.I will take any advantage i can get when it comes to football

Been creepin on Aggie Boards, there has only be 3-4 topics (very benign as an after thought) on SMU and 350-400 on SEC talk the past several days, so I know their fan base is thoroughly distracted by leavin Big 12, hope SMOO flies under their radar and sneaks out with a great game and win

When we win, this will be their excuse.

They can come up with whatever excuse they want as long as we beat them.

Between all the sec talk the bogus top ten ranking(I was there when LSU thumped them in the cotton bowl they aint top ten yet)they might have a big head, and rick perry running for the top job in the country im telling you man they are distracted. things are linning up for an upset we have a really good team this might be our best shot at them

It won't be at game time. Its a distraction for the fans, not the players.

Most of the A&M players have trouble with reading and comprehension, so any newspaper articles being written about joining the SEC should not serve as a distraction for them.

Things are setting up really well for SMu, the biggest factor is that the Aggies have had 6 months to forget they started the seaon really mediocer last year and to learn about how they are the greatest team in the big 12, The higher the expectations the worse the aggies preform. throw in a very good small school that is hungrey and full of upperclassmen and it all adds up to really close game.

If we win the game I think it goes something like this, we jump out on them in the first half something like 28-10, and they make a run in the 3rd quaterthat we can hold off by not giving up any big plays and not turning the ball over. If we can get into the 4th quarter with a lead or tied I think the Aggies crack under the pressure (we nail a long TD pass to ice or get a turnover).

The Aggies started out last year with the most overhyped very bad QB perhaps ever in Texas (state of) football history. They had some impressive wins. They have experience both in their players and coaches. I expect A$M to be ready to play and play hard against SMU. We just have to be better.

I'm hoping for an announcement that A$M will be joining the SEC followed shortly thereafter by shocking upset loss to SMU
