If it isn't worth your time then you would not have to watch or pay any attention. Not sure why you think you can speak for everyone else.

I believe those in power at SMU would feel the same way. You think attendance is a problem now? Wait and see how many people show up during the season when we are playing a conference schedule like the one mentioned above. That money could be better spent elsewhere.

I would not be too concerned because if Houston leaves CUSA will just invite someone like LA Tech or UNT to fill the gap. We will still be in CUSA.

Its an overreaction but to listen to ponyboy-the original kiss-up to the Ken Pye regime talk about how everything is peachy keen makes me want to throw-up. SMU DID sit on its [deleted] too long and too many kiss up alumni did not put any pressure on the school to make the changes that should have made by 1995. Too much ground was lost to recover when the changes started happening. The lack of urgency for 20 years. Guys like Ponyboy own that.

If A&M leaves the Big XII, and FSU leaves the ACC, there will be so many ripples in the pond, we just have to wait until all of them settle down and then see where our little dingy lands. And what defensive moves will be made by other conferences in contemplation of a Big XII carcass, so that they don't join the Big XII. The ACC might eye half of the BE teams, or just not expand at all. The BE might eye three of the Big XII teams or not expand at all or back-fill if raided. The Big XII/BEVO conference will need teams to fill in for those lost. I can't see Tech, Baylor, OSU, ISU wandering around as independents. And then there's OU. What happens to OU? Add in BYU to the fray and Boise and suddenly you have lots of options. Where does that leave SMU? I don't know. But we control a large part of our destiny over the next two months.

This looks really bad right now. UH getting into Big XII over us would be disastrous.
That short story from the San Antonio paper seriously made me feel sick.
Do we know if we are doing anything behind the scenes right now? Either toward Big XII invite or something else?
