I am not questioning Orsini, I only question whether or not Turner has his back in this matter! Little men don't like to share the spotllight--AD or Head Coach!

My Ole Miss friends said they bombarded his home with "For Sale" signs and booed him off the field at Homecoming! However, I think they were too drunk to remember so no one has the accurate story. I would just imagine it was something as simple as the state legislature that came calling.

Right now,, Turner probably has ears at Ole Miss who are keeping him updated. Orsini has ears at ND and probably knows what's going on in their discussions with the Whorns. Our old friend Russ Potts has ears at MD and UVA as well as at VT. He's probably not adverse to making a few calls for some old friends, if they ask. And Doh of course has a couple of friends left at UNC. So, we'll some good intel as this shakes out. Now let's hope we serve the Ags a nice fresh smelly sandwich to open the season.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Highly unlikely but the UT-ND alliance is a possibility. Also as an ND alum I would hope Orsini would help us a bit there.
We can dream. Switch Baylor for Boise State and this would be an 'inside the park home run.' Perhaps there might even be room for Colo State, giving AF a partner and a bigger CO footprint.

And, Men's Track & Field, plus the always essential new Aquatic Center. BCS conferences must have the programs and facilities.

Since there already exists a 2-tiered payout system within the Big 12 and with the measly payout we currently receive from C-USA, one would think we could approach the Big 12 willing to accept the smallest payout possible, considerably lower than the other schools, say for the first 5 years of membership (that would be a lifetime given the current environment).
Have big donors make up the difference and we just may have that competitive advantage over Houston that we need, after all, $$$ is a big driver in all this.

One rib gave Adam Eve. That got him kicked out of the #1 Conference at the time, the Big Eden.

Not the DP, but he did end up in a non-BCS conference.

If invited, we could also agree to have our game vs UT on the longhorn network so they could have two games on the network.

Agreed. In that case, SMU would be a conference game and they could make Rice a non-conference game. This fills the two Longhorn Network games with two new in-state foes in big markets.
