Re: ESPN: SEC/A&M newsSo it really was A&M posturing because of the Orange Cow network?
I find this hilarious. If only there were a way for the Orange Cows to be similarly embarrassed. "It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
... "Hit it."
Re: ESPN: SEC/A&M newsUT has put nothing into the Big XII-II (-I+I). Other conferences are poaching great schools from the Big X-II (-I+I) and UT only alienates member schools. Is UT's goal to go independent?
Re: ESPN: SEC/A&M newsNothing has changed the reason why A&M is pursing SEC. The Horns have created an untenable situation for their conference mates, big and small. OK and A&M are at a disadvantage on revenue and recruiting vis-a-vis UT. The remaining Big12 schools are minimally at a wait-and-see and/or hostage to the big three. The disparity will only get wider.
Longhorn Network exists to better one member at the expense of everyone else. TLN means independence, since all other conferences distribute the wealth, supporting a more competitiv framework within the conference. Pony Up
