Rivals has a story that asks (in the headline) if he's still being recruited elsewhere. Are we one of the teams still recruiting him?

It would not surprise me one bit to see Chris Hall sign as a Mustang. Kids get pulled away from solid, logical thought and sold this recruiting DREAM.
Chris will end up ( if he goes ) in Stillwater feeling alone and without a support group. His first thought ( gut feeling ) was to stay and play at SMU with family and friends and get a fantastic education.

With the class coach Bennett has started along with Chris Hall waking up to the reality of the fun and reward of an SMU experience, MAYBE Still

still solid for OSU. Still receiving calls from SMU among others-which is very strange behavior considering I've been assured by those "inside sources" that SMU pulled his offer.

I don't think this is too unusual. The coaches have probably known Chris since .... 9th grade maybe? When they started recruiting Zach? None of us knows if in fact the offer was pulled or he just chose to switch to OSU, and none of us knows what led to that decision. But it seems logical to me that if he's as good a player as we think he is, with a brother and close friends on the team, that keeping open the lines of communication might lead the coaches to re-extend the offer. If he stays adamant about OSU, they can easily shake his hand and wish him well. This seems like a smart approach to me. If he is, in fact, still getting calls from the coaches, it's not like phone calls to Irving cost anything except a few minutes of their time. Staying in touch with him seems like a no-brainer.
