Yea - it's a big story for ESPN if playing Hawaii. Fun for the kids - not a good move for fans who would go to Memphis.

As long as JJ keeps us moving in the right direction and winning, who cares about the other stuff.....but I don't like his obsession with the Hawaii Bowl. Hawaii is not doable for 90% of us. I would love to go to the Liberty Bowl.

LOL. If we could find a way to take the family over there, fine. But when you have in law politics involved, that's just not a fight I want to get into. Family stability comes before SMU football.

I seriously doubt His Holiness or his side-kick Surfer Dude get to decide where SMU plays in a Bowl. He's just posturing. Of course, Hawaii would love to play SMU but quite frankly the Hawaii Bowl is going to get no better than 3rd Choice. We might end up Hawaii but CUSA will give priority to the Million Dollar Bowls

Wow, let us keep up the overreactions! This was a tweet from Rhinebold, not JJ. I don't think the coaches want anything less than the best. Anything less than conference champ. Of course they want to go to Hawaii, who doesn't really. While it is a bit tough financially, fun thought though. I too hope we are in CUSA champ bowl, even if it is Memphis.
