Congratulations and welcome.
I have been as critical as the next one, but I think we all made our points pro and con and should either kill this discussion until next spring or move it to a pay site. We don't need to deflate a brand new recruit or the other prospects we are continuing to chase.

I think it is funny that the sunshiners start to preemptively attack the doom and gloomers before they really knock the kid. I think Stallion's comments were more matter of fact than negative. In any event, if we are concerned with what recruits read on here, the comments above may only serve to confuse the recruits you are trying to be supportive of.

In any event, welcome AJ, we look forward to seeing you play. Congrats on your choice.

UVA signs 32-35 a year. They reject at least 5 due to academics every year. They rarely end up with a full 25 at the end of every spring due to admissions standards.

Virginia has signed 112 players in the last 5 Classes which is a little more than 22 per year. Twice they signed 18

I agree. Mr. Justice will be laying down the law on those offenses.

S A.J. Justice, Stratford, 6-0, 190, 4.6 - class of 2012
Justice was the most impressive defensive back on the hoof in the game. In talking with Stratford coaches, he is a player that college coaches are looking at playing close to the box at the next level. What he showed last night was the ability to close on the ball in the air in coverage and time his hits to either cause a pass break up or make a sure tackle without giving up yards after the catch. In run support, he was in on a handful of tackles, but didn’t deliver the bone-jarring type of hits. Part of that comes from tackling too high. He’s an FBS prospect that has the chance to develop into a very good player.

Is that what they signed or the number enrolled? One of my high school buddies played there. He told me they always have (or attempt to have) large classes, because a fair amount never get past admissions. Their goal is to get 32 verbals to the admissions committee. The admissions committee knocks a bunch out immediately.

Unrated on Rivals at this point, but Rivals says A.J. Justice runs a 4.48 40. At 6'1" that is a good start. Coach says he is a good student so we don't have to worry about him being a non qualifier. 3 Star rating on Scout, so he will probably end up a 3 Star DB on Rivals also. Welcome to SMU !
