David Smoak is a pretty good source in East Texas

He's in central Texas now. Moved from Tyler to Waco.

Was he driving a green and yellow Trans AM?
(WOW. Just realized that could fit in at either school)

The question is does he get pissed off and pull a Stanley and sing to the NCAA, media, or whoever else will listen about his recruitment? This could get interesting.

Good point and true.

He says he picked Baylor because his grandmother is sick and he wants to be close to her.

That would be hysterical.

It would be a lot more fun if he were going to sing about Baylor instead of Nike U, though.

Heard he was at best 4th on the depth chart at Oregon. Not that it is a knock on him, Oregon is loaded at RB. Star recruits at RB who transfer from BCS school to another BCS school are not always successful. Emanuel Moody and Broderick Green come to mind. There seems to be more success when the transfer to non-BCS schools. Guys like Tyler Ebel and Shawnbrey McNeal come to mind....although Andre Dean is not exactly lighting it up at TCU

I've got a central tx buddy who coaches and saw Seastrunk play in person several times. He thought LS was very overrated fwiw, didn't think he'd be a successful D1 player

he had a pretty average Senior year but he runs a 4.3 and a 10.6 hundred. I think SMU opens with Baylor in 2012

Seastrunk has trouble written all over him. Texas retracted their offer to him 2 yrs ago when they realized that...Oregon took the bait and look where that got them
