A&M will announce their leaving Tuesday. Also, ND has no interest, as a result Pitt doesn't either. Still hoping for the Hogs.

Re: Orangebloods: A&M set to leave on TuesdayDidn't Orangebloods claim this a few weeks ago?
Derail the Frogs!
Re: Orangebloods: A&M set to leave on TuesdayWill be interesting to see who ends up taking their place. I'm at 100% confidence that it won't be us, but most likely not Houston either.
Hail to the Mormons.
Re: Orangebloods: A&M set to leave on TuesdayPlease wake me up when all this is done...in the age of the internet, still nobody knows.
Re: Orangebloods: A&M set to leave on TuesdayWonder if the Big 12 will just stay at 9 if all of their pie in the sky teams say no.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Orangebloods: A&M set to leave on TuesdayHey, I was wrong about TCU to the Big East so what the hell do I know, but I still don't think BYU takes the bait. I sincerely believe they intend to give going independent a legitimate shot. Now maybe several years down the line if it isn't going the way they planned they can join another conference, but I think the Big 12 is too much of a house of cards for BYU. I think they will pass.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Orangebloods: A&M set to leave on TuesdayWhy don't they just change the name to the Longhorn Conference

Re: Orangebloods: A&M set to leave on TuesdayCoxMustangFan,
You could be right. I understand there isn't much to be lost on BYU's end, but I think they now view themselves as an independent and want to operate as such. They haven't even given it a shot yet. Everything I've read out of Provo is that they are lukewarm at best about joining the Big 12. If it was the slam dunk everyone thinks it is I would think there would be more positive vibes coming out from BYU. Granted most of this stuff is done behind closed doors, but there hasn't really been any indication at all that BYU has any interest in joining a conference, let alone the house of cards that is the Big 12. Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Orangebloods: A&M set to leave on TuesdayLonghorns destroyed the Southwest Conference and now they're doing it to the Big 12.
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: Orangebloods: A&M set to leave on TuesdayOne thing for sure is the big 12 has to have at least 10 teams or they are in violation of their TV contract. So they have to take at least one more team with ATM leaving. Look for them to take someone soon.
Re: Orangebloods: A&M set to leave on Tuesday
Why did Arkansas jump at that time? I can't remember.
Re: Orangebloods: A&M set to leave on Tuesday
Aggies, Razorbacks, and even we had a hand in that one. Remember, A&M was about to bolt to the SEC back in the early 90s (and Texas to the Pac-10).
