Mine still has 43 minutes. I think it counts down to midnight for everyone, no matter the time zone.
This is merely wild speculation, but what if it was a countdown to the day of an announcement?

I guess the positive is it's starting to look like something done by SMU again, so we know for sure the school is behind it.
When everything goes well and looks and performs professionally it just doesn't seem like SMU.

My guess/excuse is that so far the people running this show have been ahead of the game the whole way.
They knew when aTm was going to send the letter to big12. Rumor was aTm was making it official yesterday, maybe for whatever is on the site, aTm needs to officially leave the big 12. Or, we suck. Either one.

For me, the countdown clock went to zero, but is now back up to 14 hours 46 minutes. So midnight tonight, huh? Then midnight tomorrow. What a tease.
