Much better than my pitiful offering, but did the best I could with a digital camera from behind the glass.

Hey, you had yours up online first...and the ones on smumustangs were done by a professional with access to the field...so don't go feeling bad about it. We appreciate all the photos we can get.

BTW, FWIW, did you happen to notice SJSU didn't have names on their jerseys either?

PK, thanks for your kind thoughts. I figured they were better than nothing, especially for those pony fans that can't see anything from week to week.

As to names on SJSU, they have always been that way, one of a half dozen teams that never has. I truely think in their case it is budgetary. They nearly folded their program a year ago. We've had names for 21 seasons (till now).

I don't know if you saw my post re meeting Eckert and his mom on Wednesday at the Spirit Shop, but the players and the players parents (according to them) clearly want their names back. According to Eckert they have to earn them.

One final comical note re no names, towards the end of the fourth quarter Massey was put in to mop up as the running back. After each carry the public address announcer seeing number 33 stated that the yardage was gained by Blake Johnson, who is a reserve LB who also wears #33. It was actually pretty funny, but I bet Massey's parents didn't think so.

My guess is that if they play well and hard as a team all year, Coach Bennett will give them the option of getting them back next year.

More pictures – and we're talkin' the whole shootin' match folks – coming Monday or Tuesday along with a very important announcement.

Yes I saw your post and knew you were delighted. As you well know, I like the no name jerseys, but then I'm a little weird. I find it fun to check the numbers out to see who it is and then try to remember who is who with out looking. Simple pleasures for simple folk. Honestly, I'll live with it either way. So no need to get into a debate. I'm easy...just ask my wife. :)
