Division I-AA star replaces Harrington
--------------------------------------------------------------------
(HUNTSVILLE, DALLAS NOTE)
(Mobile, Alabama-AP) -- Sam Houston State quarterback Josh
McCown will replace Oregon's Joey Harrington at the Senior Bowl in
Mobile, Alabama.
Harrington has bowed out of Saturday's game after suffering a
knee injury while participating in the East-West Shrine Game in San
Francisco on January 12th.
McCown, who arrived in time to work out with his North teammates
yesterday, was the Southland Conference Player of the Year.
The 6-foot-3, 217-pounder transferred to Sam Houston State after
three seasons at Southern Methodist.
McCown passed for two-thousand, 884 yards and 29 touchdowns in
his lone season with the Bearkats.
The Senior Bowl, which pits the North squad against the South
team, features senior N-F-L prospects.
