From Klemm's Facebook

"Just received a commit from arguably the top QB in the 2013 class. In two years this "prince" will become a King and rewrite all the record books! ... Get ready for the greatest show on turf!"

You lost me. What does UCLA have to do with any of this?

Welcome to the Hilltop, Eddie!

Klemm and Reinbold definitely tow the line with their comments on recruits.

Was thinking the exact same thing...these seems just plain dumb in my opinion. But I'd say he's one of the best recruiters anywhere in the nation so well let it slide...

Rivals reports SMU, surely they are correct. I don't know this other site at all.

Ah yes, the Woodward & Bernstein of new century.

CoxMustangFan wrote:... If 2012 QB's see that SMU has a stud QB coming in, we may not get the 2012 QB that we need (unless it's a Juco guy). To add insult to injury, if he changes his mind and de-commits then we would be in big trouble.

So we'll have to get by for the next two years with a quarterback who is getting skewered after a game even though he already has his name all over the record book and two young quarterbacks who were pretty highly regarded coming out of high school and have given no reason to believe that excitement was unfounded? Oh, the horror!

HA! Well played, 94! You're EXACTLY right!

I disagree that the comments are dumb. I think they're calculated and very smart. Those comments aren't directed at us as fans — they're aimed directly at other recruits. "You want to play with a great quarterback? Come to SMU." Etc., etc.

Why did Printz commit as a high school junior? “So he can start helping SMU build their recruiting class for 2013. He wants to help them get back to competing on a national level.”

After Printz committed to SMU on Monday, he was contacted by some SEC schools, among others. “They all emailed and asked why did Eddie commit so early? And does that really mean he’s 100-percent done?”his father said. “Yes, Eddie is done with the recruiting. He’s not one to commit and still look around. He’s 100-percent committed to SMU.”

major commit on rivals home page

Postby couch 'em » Mon Sep 05, 2011 3:37 pm

This is a game changing commit. Looks like the best talent to come this way since Sherwood was our main recruiter.

What I'd like to know is what he saw last night that he liked so much?
