Re: CUSA, MWC, Big12-7 megerThe Pac of Fruits and Nuts believe they are the keepers of all things left coast. There is absolutely no way that San Francisco (Stanford & Cal-Berkley) along with Oregon (where to stop global warming they mandate full serve gas) and UCLA and USC let people from Lubbock, TX and Stillwater, OK into their commune.
Re: CUSA, MWC, Big12-7 meger
They (which doesn't include A&M) will not be playing most of their games in Calif, They will be in the east division with probably Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Arizona State. They will have to play two cross-over games which could be any where on the west coast. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: CUSA, MWC, Big12-7 megerTexas wants in the Pac of Fruits and Nuts because it will be easier for their students to get medical marijuana

Doesn't look like they are having all that much problem now. ![]() SMU's first president, Robert S. Thanks, I needed a laugh today.
Re: CUSA, MWC, Big12-7 megerKU's announcement clearly gives a signal to the Big East. The Big East, can't expand much more for hoops without getting totally unwieldy, but perhaps a KU addition would make a division of hoops/all sports only schools and football schools more palatable and keep a relatively strong TV contract. After all you'd have UConn, Pitt, WVA, Rutgers, Syracuse, Louisville, USF, TCU, and Cincy in the football camp adding perhaps three more teams like KU, Missou and maybe Memphis, Houston or Baylor. This would be dictated by TV folks. Hoops division would still have name teams like Villanova, St. Johns, Seton Hall, Marquette, Providence, DePaul, Marquette, Georgetown and Notre Dame. Huge TV markets there. NY, DC, Philly, Chicago, Milwaukee. They could add Xavier and Butler for hoops if they wanted to. That would leave KSU, Baylor and ISU outside looking in. They would be great additions to the MWC or CUSA.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: CUSA, MWC, Big12-7 megerI could be wrong, but something tells me the Big East wasn't the intended target for KU's announcement.[/quote]
