Some great hits to the chops!

I think it is funny that Galloway is now taking shots at Deloss et al - especially since he is now writing for the cowtown pattie. IIRC he used to write for DMN and rarely said anything negative about the whorens and seldom anything positive about the Ponies. :?

Easy Red Pony - dont know what you are talking about. He has made fun of Horn on the radio for many years. Calls them teasips and whiners.

Sorry- I don't remember reading any articles years ago in the DMN trashing the whorens. Mea culpa.

I don't remember Galloway ever writing for the DMN. When did that happen? As for his column. Hear, hear!

He was their star columnist for many years back in the 80s. And I don't remember him ever saying anything bad about UT while working for his sinister Belo masters.

What he said^
"This is . . . dedication to distraction by fans. Is that what I'm going to go with Jay?"

Yes, he was the head sports columnist. He probably wasn't allowed to because it's the BEVO Morning News. He certainly speaks his mind on the radio - and UT is not liked on his show.

At one point in the 1980s, newspapers fought over — and paid very well for — top sports columnists. I remember seeing a list of the most highly paid sports columnists in the country, and three worked for the Dallas Morning News. Galloway, I think, was No. 2 on the list.

IIRC- Randy Galloway, Skip Bayless and Murray Forsvall. Also, Vern Lundquist on the nightly sports. He was sponsored by the Kent Shop- Gary Williams. I think that is correct, when you're an old fart like me your memory doesn't always work correctly. :)

Somehow I was thinking the others were Blackie Sherrod and Frank Luksa, but it's been a few years....

PP- I think you are correct. However, IIRC Bayless was at that time working for the DTH. Remember Blackie well but not much about Luksa.
