One of the links in that article said that the ACC has been mulling over a 4 pod (vs 2 divison) league format proposal if they go to 16 teams, which would help promote regional traveling. That would be a great trend for SMU if conferences start doing that when going from 12 to 16, because if the ACC, Big East, PAC12, Big10 each want to pluck a Big12 member plus 4 other regional partners, I could see SMU being picked up to make that forth team from a central region to complete a pod.

Since the Pac-12 Commish has stated the conference does not want to expand, I will assume that means they are ready to expand. Sorta of like the GM of a losing team saying the coach's job is secure, then firing him a few days later..

What happens on the outside chance the PAC12 has some schools that vote against the admission of OU and OSU (mainly because of OSU) and block their move? The B12 stays together? Or is there zero chance of the PAC12 rejecting OU and OSU?
