I know, I know, butts in seats, butts in seats, but one of the reasons young recent alumni don't get season tickets is that you can effectively panhandle your way through the year on the Boulevard without them. When that starts to get awkward, they stop going. There has got to be a smarter way to move un-used tickets. You should be able to call the ticket office on Monday, effectively void you ticket scan and create another ticket go into whatever inner-city program we've got going. Give nice tickets as gifts to Dallas companies. One of the reasons I started Red and Blue Army is to try to create an incentive for recent grads to buy season tickets instead of mooch.
man, you hit the nail on the head. i have a buddy who gave up his season tix this year, they were adjacent to mine and another friend who both have kids so we bought them for our boys who now need tickets to go to games. he called last week before the UTEP game and asked if we had any extras. when i informed him they were all accounted for, he said "well, i guess i'll just stay home and watch it on my couch."
after much prodding, he ended up on the blvd and bought a $15 endzone and ended up sitting with us anyway, but that's the attitude that needs to change.
