Tickets for Today's GameI'm going to try a different approach. I have seen one person get blasted for seeking free tickets and another get mocked for not giving away his. Here's the deal. I have two tickets available in Section 103 on the front row. I now feel uncomfortable giving them away or offering them for sale. So instead I will offer them to whomever is willing to make a donation to Thad's film project. Face value of the tickets is $25 each. Any money I receive for the tickets will be added to my donation for Thad's project.

Re: Tickets for Today's GameThat is a good deal. I have one in 104 that I will make available the same offer. Mine says $30.00 face value but hot chicks get a discount.

Re: Tickets for Today's Gamegreat idea.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Tickets for Today's GameGood idea smudubs----Keep in mind that those $25 tickets require a minimum $500 Mustang Club contribution to buy those seats for the season, so the real actual cost is $45 EACH.
Re: Tickets for Today's GameScott - I keep trying to forget the the "donation". Seriously they should just jack up the cost per seat. It's not a donation if it's mandatory. It's ransom - tax deductible ransom - but ransom none the less.
Re: Tickets for Today's Game
that's why they do it. it helps 'soften the blow' of pricier tickets. Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Tickets for Today's Game
That's funny and love your handle! Thanks for posting...but all major programs have done this for years and was surprised SMU hadn't done it earlier. We actually have a good deal if you compare to other schools, including TCU! I had no idea that TCU charges so much for equivalent SMU season tics.
Re: Tickets for Today's GameI get it Scott. I really have no beef with the overall price. I know it's industry standard, but I just can't wrap my head around institutions of higher learning officially using the oxymoron of mandatory donation. Surely someone in the English dept. can come up with something better to call it.
Re: Tickets for Today's Game
Ahem...Or maybe someone in the Economics department?......lol ![]() And it not appropriate to call us by our names other then our handle, smudubs better half.
Re: Tickets for Today's Game
Best I could come up with is Ransom. Pretty sure that isn't making it past the marketing folks! That's why I'm pawning it off on someone else:)
Re: Tickets for Today's GameDubs you going to da game?
Re: Tickets for Today's Game
As a distinguished graduate of the English department who, ironically, had a better GPA than his alleged BETTERHALF, I would suggest instead of using the terms "contribution" and "donation" the school call it a " levy." Happy now dear? ![]() And for the record, I always considered my bottom half my best. Ponyfans.com voice of reason

After 14 years of marriage I have to agree ![]() I must point out that your GPA only got better once you started studying with me. You drug me down babe. Mestango. Dubs and I are going to the game. Sick kids are staying home since plying them with booze to kill the germs is frowned upon ![]()
Re: Tickets for Today's Game
SMUdubs, Thanks for the plug for Thad's video. I will be posting another update soon. He said he will have it done by the UCF game and the Stampede for that week. We got a couple of other ideas cooking as well. Glad to see your better half deciding to officially join us on ponyfans. Now she can vent with impunity. Great debut.
