Scott - I keep trying to forget the the "donation". Seriously they should just jack up the cost per seat. It's not a donation if it's mandatory. It's ransom - tax deductible ransom - but ransom none the less.

SMU football tickets are still the biggest bargain around for college football. See where you could sit with a $25 face value ticket at DKR in Austin. Any decent seats will have a face value of over $75....before the donation to the Longhorn Foundation...and if you want TX-OU tickets I believe that requires at least a $1,000 donation.

As a distinguished graduate of the English department who, ironically, had a better GPA than his alleged BETTERHALF, I would suggest instead of using the terms "contribution" and "donation" the school call it a " levy." Happy now dear?
