Agree with what you say, however, Jones needs to do better with the game clock. Calling back to back timeouts 2 games in a row, and then screwing up 4th down on the goal lime while sending the 2's out to run an ill-conceived option. Coaches on top of their game see the problem and immediately call time out. The Miss St coach ran on to the field against Auburn to call time out. Jones doesn't have a good grasp of clock management. Think Navy first half last year. Clearly on him.

JJ is terrible with clock management. But with all this talk about KP being the better leader as a QB, why didn't he notice the confusion and call a TO to settle it down? We had several to use. A total waste to fumble the ball and allow a long TD after all the defense had done to complete a shut out.

One observation from last night. Did anyone else notice that JJ does not go all the way to the sideline to get the play from June? Thus , he has more time at the line to make adjustments if needed. KP goes all the way over, stays awhile then has to haul a** back to the huddle and then gets up to the line with about 5 sec. on the clock. Any thoughts?

That is Jones' fault. He keeps the team on the sideline and sends them back out with 9 secs once and 5 secs another (back to back timeouts if you recall). How many coaches call time out from the sideline. He sees 9 secs on the clock with the 2's in and seemingly lining up wrong, coach calls time out immediately. It was 4th down to boot.

Nail gets hit on the head. I am just a stupid fan, but our time management is problematic. We are screwed if we have to have a two minute drive to win a game.

Um, yeah, sure they are (not).

McD was supposedly 6'5 (on the roster) when he transferred from New Mexico, but he has subsequently shrunk an inch. I think bot he and Kyle are legitimately in the 6'3 - 6'4 range.

Who is responsible for the team being on the sideline until 9 secs on the time clock? JONES< JONES< JONES. He did it twice in this game and once against UTEP. Jones is terrible with clock management. He is responsible. The QBs try to make it happen in spite of Jones.
