Brand New Turf

Postby GiddyUp » Sun Sep 18, 2011 2:02 pm

Do we get a money back guarantee? Everyone is slipping everywhere.

Someone made a poor choice on a $800K investment - how does that happen?? - absurd.

Zach mentioned he tried some new shoes and will not be using them again. Look forward to see him play on the road in good turf conditions.

How does someone by a $1million lite-brite scoreboard for Moody in the age of HD? We don't have the best captains steering this ship.

Not looking good and slippery for all. When JJ was asked about maybe changing shoes to react to the turf , all he said was we have a contact with Adidas. Does that mean Adidas doesn't have some shoes that would work better on this surface?

Watching Line we now know that Adidas has shoes that will work worse on our surface. Not sure about better.

Noticed Z. Line was the biggest offender.

I would assume SMU would call their vendor/supplier (Addidas) into their offices & advise them that they either supply the necessary equipment to succeed or - they'll get someone else.

The rest of us do that in business all the time.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Maybe the turf was simply still wet from the rain this week?

I think they were slipping last week as well; so I don't think it was wet. Kind of weird since turf is supposed to get you better footing. Personally, wish we had grass.

Jones mentioned it before and it was a problem for players on both sides.

So, let me get this straight:

Playing surface to slippery, players falling down
Lights are positioned wrong, blinding receivers
Sound system sinks, to loud, then to soft

Let's implode the whole stadium and start over!!!!

that about sums it up - brand new turf laid down this summer is inexcusable.
