5.16 in the 40? For a tight end?
Only way I would imagine this guy getting a scholarship is if he added 60 pounds and played OL at that speed.

I know coaches look at production in addition to size, speed, etc. But at that time, most every coach - including those at SMU - aren't considering this kid as a TE candidate. If that time's a typo, then maybe he has a shot. If he's really running anywhere near that speed, no way.

Good call, Stallion. When I saw this, I thought the 40 time might have been a typo. But he'd have to add .... 50 pounds to contribute? Time to start lifting and eating. A lot. Now.

Last lineman we signed from Corpus Christi added an inch and about 65 pounds. Name's Allan Adami. I'd say he's turned out OK. Sure would be nice to have another just like him.

I don't remember.

I think Ted Barnhart is from CC, but I don't think anyone's going to mistake him for an OL! :wink:
