I am pumped. If you weren't there, you can get the info from SMUMustangs.com. But looks like the school has finally commited to winning in sports. They are not putting a shortage of money in. With Bennett, the new stadium, new recruiting rules, and this money, we have no excuse to be a contender within the next 3-4 years.

Bennett can really get people excited. He compared SMU to Miami and seemed to feel that we will be at that level in a matter of time.

Copeland and Turner also had great things to say. I recommend that you go to SMUMustangs.com and read it all for yourself, aswell.

I left Moody last night wanting to suit up and play for Coach Bennett. And I didn't leave until I already had filled out a pledge card for the Mustang Club.

Best part was the mental picture created when President Turner talked about how many victories would be required before he and Jim Copeland took on the Bennett moustache look. THAT I would like to see!

I've been waiting a while to hear about the school stepping forward with that kind of dedication to the athletic programs. Great to see the coaches of the other sports there. They've been so strong in for so long at SMU, and it would be understandable if they were upset about the lack of attention they get, but it was refreshing to see that the coaches of the other sports realize where the revenue comes from. This is something the whole community needs to support.

We need to begin our support this Saturday with a sellout against La. Tech. It is time for the students and fair weather fans to commit to being FANS.
