Tulsa OOC Schedule

Post by Pony ^ »

What in the world was Tulsa thinking? @OU, Oklahoma State, @Boise State....All top 10 teams. I'm just glad we don't have this schedule. Their season is over before it begins.

Season over? None of these are conference games. It's good experience. They'll be a lot more prepared for SMU and Houston than if they played, say, Northwestern State...

Maybe they were thinking that if they won a couple of games it would be huge for their program and if they won all 3 they would be potential BCS busters. They scheduled those games a few years ago, they did not know for sure how good any of those teams (or their own team) would be this year.

Their season isn't really over, just their chance to bust the BCS. They can still win C-USA and play in the Liberty Bowl. Scheduling all 3 in 1 season like that wasn't a good idea though.

If they won all three I would think you could call the BCS busted.

I would much rather we play those three than Northwestern State and the like.

Absolute truth here...

Season ticket holders should get "a gift" for that BS as well.

We already have on 1aa team (SFA) on the schedule. We can't schedule another and have it count toward bowl eligibility. We have TCU, SFA, and A&M at home plus 4 conference games. My guess is A&M buys it out like you say and we sign a contract with another FBS team for an away game. We would still have 6 home games next year. Maybe a money game maybe a home and home.
