Baylor cancelled next year too? We are supposed to have a 6 year series delayed to next year. Can we at least beat Baylor before we claim we are ready for the BCS

This.
Tulsa had no chance to be a BCS buster before the season started. They have no chance now. Their best case scenario before they ever played a game was the Liberty Bowl, and now they are about as well prepared to work toward that goal as I can imagine.
Unless you are a legitimate national championship contender, the object is not to go undefeated. The object is to win the conference championship and go to the best bowl possible. If a brutal OOC schedule helps with that, then the losses don't hurt. They make the conference games seem easy by comparison.
Stallion doesn't think I'm a stinkin' genius anymore.
A brutal OOC conference schedule can make it tough to go to a bowl game as well (see UNT). Heck we might have a tough time going to a bowl game this year. If we barely make it to a bowl game we can then be thankful we played NW State.

We play Baylor in Waco next year. They moved the game that was supposed to be at Ford to the end of the series in 2019. It's an 8 year series.
What are the chances we actually get to play our 2013 out of conference schedule barring more conference changes: Tech, Baylor, @ A&M, @TCU? This would be a daunting gauntlet to potential run true freshman Printz through. I would assume all A&M games are up in the air due to them going to the SEC. I know June had mentioned replacing 2012 A&M with Hawaii. Maybe we could finally start a series although JJ has been out of Hawaii for a while so it may not garner as much attention anymore tv ratings wise.
Does it prepare your team for their conference games, or does it completely demoralize your team? They knew when they signed those deals that there was absolutely no one in HELL they would win all 3 in one season. It's all about publicity and the money, and maybe it pays off for them to be seen by kids who really want to go to one of those schools, but isn't quite ranked high enough to get noticed, so they go to Tulsa instead.

Such an incredibly negative attitude. They aimed high, much better than settling for mediocrity. Their best player was suspended a week before the season, I imagine there are some of them that wonder how things might have been different if Johnson could have played.
You mentioned recruiting in terms of visibility, but did you consider that having those games on the schedule allowed them to tell kids for the last 4 years that they were going to be playing top level competition in 2011? That is a benefit as well.
