This. McD hasn't done anything in the past few games to drive us into a ditch. He's done what's been expected - help blowout two bad teams. If he had multiple turnover games, then I'd understand some of the smack McD is getting. Hopefully he's been able to get his sea legs and is ready to go for our Oct. schedule.

McD did play pretty well today....good line at least. Wasnt able to watch the game. My son had a game today at the same time.
Sounds like KP didn't play today at all, kind of surprised!
I bet KP doesn't stick around next year. Bet he transfers to another school, sits out, and starts his redshirt senior year. Unless of course he transfers to a DI-AA...although I am not sure on those rules anymore, would he have to sit out then too? Either way I'd be willing to bet he is not on our roster next season, hope I am wrong, because I do think he gives us the best chance to win now, and next season as well...hopefully June will not allow that to happen...but I bet he is gone after this year.
That being said, can't argue with what McD has done. Would still like to see more consistency on his deep ball...But he has won, games he was expected to win, none the less a win is a win!

I'm surprised Padron didn't play at all today. Maybe it was Coach Jones showing the Frogs that JJMcD is the man ... and plans to pull the switch next week? Oh, the sneaky mad scientist!

My guess is that Padron will be our starting QB in the first game next year. He may not hold on for the whole year but I would bet he opens up as the starter. No reason to sit a year or move down.

We will learn a lot about McD next week and I hope KP is ready b/c he could very well get the chance to save the game.
I really don't care who the QB is as long as we win. And the emergence of Thompson as a deep threat really helps!

Ints too, TCUs DBs will be jumping those short to intermediate routes all game long. If McD doesn't get yanked for poor play he'll probably get pulled for injury.

I thought we burned his redshirt? So he would only be able to transfer to a FCS team and have a year to play. Or am i wrong on this?

I think we need to burn HBPD's redshirt next week. He's shifty. He and 94 have some eligibility left I am sure. Oh and let's bring in ExP18 as O coordinator. Love it!
Two shots of Padron!!! Darn it! The Marina Pub only has Jose Cuervo in the tequila [mockingbird] realm. Sigh. What kind of fan is this HBPD guy anyway?!?!?!?! Double sigh.

I don't think we need to worry about Kyle. Announcers yesterday were commenting that he has maintained a great attitude; said he acknowledges he lost the starting job because of his poor play at A$M and that he was working hard to wi the job back if/when the opportunity comes. As we all know, it just takes one play for that to happen and if McDermott performs well all year and stays healthy, I agree with the earlier comment that the opportunity will be there for Kyle's senior year
I fell better about our QB situation (that we at least have 2 who can make us competitive in CUSA) than I have in years

We burned his redshirt his freshman year by putting him in against Houston, however, your "red shirt year" can be given at any time...It is too late for kyle to red shirt this season having played against UTEP, but he could transfer to D-I school, redshirt/sit out, and still have 1 year to play... You get 5 years to play 4, KP is in his 3rd right now... I feel kind of smart now after looking that up online I hope he doesn't leave, but why stick around if the coach doesn't have confidence in you?
