He played with a separated shoulder and didn't practice most of the week, though you couldn't tell as he gained 136 yards. Line's left shoulder pad was specially fitted wth Kevlar this week to add extra protection. The same company who fitted Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo for a Kevlar vest worked with SMU.

Makes Line's performance even more impressive.

Held up OK last year getting almost all the carries.

Get him healthy and let him pile up some numbers.

That's what I was thinking. Zach Line isn't a fumbler if he's healthy.

If they determined he couldn't hurt it worse, and he could manage the discomfort (which obviously he could), it probably isn't that big a deal.
