Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.its a farce-shouldn't even count these exhibition games

Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.isn't UC-Davis like Texas State and UTSA...moving up to FBS level as future WAC member?
Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.
you're such a hater of the crappy schedule. Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.
how is this any different than most D1 schools in the country playing a weaker D2 school? maybe we should petition the Floridas, the Ohio States, the Alabamas, the LSUs, etc to amend their schedule to not count those games.
Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.will we see the day that states actually "legislate" schedules to some extent?
I could see Texas being forced to give UTSA, Texas State, UNT or UTEP a game just to keep the $$ in state It's happening in SC with Clemson and SC playing the likes of SC State, Citadel, Coastal Carolina, Wofford, etc... These games have been "encouraged" by some in a position to make life difficult for University Presidents and Athletic Directors
Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.
UC-Davis isn't moving up to FBS, they don't have the money or the interest to move up right now. They also recently lost their QB when he decided to leave college to enter seminary school--that is something I haven't seen much before.
Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.Thats nothing - we lost 2 qb's to accounting and rock band in the same year.
Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.
They also cut four sports last year due to budget problems. They are a tier 1 school academically by most respects and the only other UC system school to have football besides Cal and UCLA, but will probably not move to FBS anytime soon due to state budget problems, would take major donor involvement. Not to be rude, but I always got the since Davis was more of a hippy school, but then again Cal has a team.

It happens in Iowa and Arizona as well and I'm sure a few others. Iowa and Iowa state have to trade off scheduling norhern Iowa. Arizona and Arizona state have to trade off scheduling northern Arizona
Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.We should get the hawaii coach. Can you imagine what our offense would look like?? Just watch the qb recruits line up to play here!
Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.
We'll gladly give you our coach. Just a little side note on UC Davis. They came with-in one TD of beating Boise St in Boise a couple of years ago. I believe it's was Boise St closest home game with-in the last ten years. Anyway, Moniz didn't play the in the second half. Would have loved to see him play the whole game and see what his stats would be like.
Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.Wish we had Moniz
Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.
If you had him, Jones wouldn't play him anyway. Jones doesn't like QB's who take off and run under the first sign of pressure. Speaking of running QB's, to your knowledge has JJ ever tried to recruit a athletic black QB while at SMU? Hate to categorize an athletic QB as being black but most of the athletic QB that can run are usually black. I'm just curious because, it seemed in his 9 years in Hawaii, I can't remember JJ ever trying to recruit that type or black QB.
Re: Hawaii QB throws 7 TD...in first half.He recruits them for the slot....
No he has his prototype...usually jeff george looking, tall with arm, no clue how to make progressions or make DBs move just by using their eyes...
