What impresses me is that the d hasn't given up a score in 9 quarters. I have a feeling watching from Memphis that the 'Margus' effect may have had something to do with why they went for a touchdown at the end of the first half instead of field goal.

Ahh comeee onnn. Wisconsin wanted a rematch ... on THEIR turf. NO THANK YOU. It'd be like Oregon saying: "Ehhhh good game but you need to come to Eugene next year, first game." Auburn: "Uhh we already beat you on a neutral turf." Oregon: "What? You scared?" We won. Wisconsin is in no position to call for a rematch. If you want to play us, come to the Carter.
BS...in any other year you would have jumped at the chance to elevate your status, but with a new QB and weaker than normal D backfield, you politely declined. A calculated move and probably a given not to accept, but pleeeeease and comeeee onnnn, lets not compare TCU with a Oregon/Auburn situation. You ain't that good Froggie boy and those teams play in a BCS Conference year round....different situation. Those teams don't play Portland State.

yeah, and Auburn would have said not effing way. we're not as good this year b/c we lost all our talent to the NFL (like TCU).

D has been pretty stout but this is all about who you play; remember feeling like we couldn't stop A$M?

C'mon lets give credit where credit is due...they are playing who is on the schedule and doing what they are supposed to do, and quite frankly are dominating on the D-line for most of the games and if it wasn't for our mistakes and breaks, SMU may be rated even higher in some categories. TCU hasn't exactly had a tough schedule either. TCU decided NOT to play Wisconsin OOC early in the season this year for a reason ( http://sports.espn.go.com/dallas/ncf/ne ... id=6106632)...we have a good chance against them this next week and I sure love to see SMU ranked ahead of that vaunted TCU defense anytime in the season.
To be fair, it was a one game in Wisc. Not a home and home.

I'm sure the talent drop off had something to do with it, but I don't think tcu should be criticized for not playing at Wisc when Wisc refused a 1 and 1. AQ v nonAQ stats are hugely skewed by home field advantage for the AQ. That's how sec and b10 teams average 7 or 8 home games, year after year. But see Okla stat: what 40-2 at home under stoops, but 22-19 away See Indiana lose to a horrible unt on the road. Home field is huge in college football. I'd like to see some regression analysis on this. All the more kudos to Boise state playing on the road v top teams. Ga going to Boise next year, btw. Oh and bcs schools play portland state (Oregon last yr, ttech) they also play coastal Carolina, etc in the sec.

Have to agree. Wisconsin in no position to try and dictate time and place.
When will I start feeling stimulated??

Thanks Dutch and pwnyxpress for the links. UCF is #3. They are going to be tough to score against.

Come on, it's not like every other big team in the nation hasn't played at least a couple cream puffs themselves. The stat isn't as misleading as you're making it out to be.
Beyond that, they haven't allowed a single point to the last 2 teams we've played. We haven't done that in ages. Those games were never close. Our defense is playing great, so give them credit.
