The defense has two shutouts in a row since last week's score was a return on our fumble.

Defense (so far) has been outstanding, has made the fact that out offense coughs up the ball so much irrelevant.

SMU shut out Hawaii Oct. 3, 1998: 28-0.

Also shut out UTEP, 30-0, Nov. 9, 1996.

So today was the third.

We that watched at 1st and 10, knew that you at the Barley were wrong.... :-)

Also 'just so you know':

The shutouts by Houston and SMU marked the first time since Sept. 9, 2000 that two C-USA football teams had shutouts on the same day.
