UPDATE IV: With the uncertainty surrounding the landscape of college football, it appears the Big 12 is now making its push after being saved from Pac-12 oblivion.

Greg Swaim, the host of Big Time Sports Radio, tweeted, "A trusted Big 12 source tells me tonight that Louisville was offered Friday afternoon. No word on other offers."

Swaim also tweeted he believes BYU and Cincinnati are receiving interest from the Big 12 but could not confirm if a invitation was sent to those schools.

that would make me so happy. TCU has run from us from year, and to finally settle into a BCS conf, only to have to share with us would be such sweet irony.

Yeah that would be a killer blow to the Big East. I could see the Big East looking at the following teams:

UCF
ECU
Temple
Navy
Air Force
Houston
SMU
Villanova

we do NOT want BE to get raided if we are not included in their expansion plans! Imagine UCF, ECU and UH going without us...we can call this the "Nuclear Option".

Well we arent getting into big 12...so only possible AQ conference we have a chance at is big east, and only way we get in there is if they lose 3-4 more teams...so thats what i am hoping for..

OK, help me what does Louisville bring to the table? Basketball? OK. But, I guess the Big 12 has been coveting the Kentucky market so long because of the woman's equestrian opportunities.

It's the Big 12 blanketing the universe, but of course don't include Texas teams. UT can't stand the heat.
